Sage recently celebrated its 10th birthday and during the meeting to celebrate that event, two women from Sage’s Ageing Well talked about how it had helped them.
Brenda said that the assisted shopping trips and craft sessions had made a big difference in her life:
“I can’t really thank Sage enough, they’ve made my life come back together again.”
As well as practical help, she said that being involved with Ageing Well has meant she's been able to meet people and make new friends, including Barbara who also spoke about her experiences.
Barbara is ‘nearly 82’ and before the shopping trips started a year ago, had had “four years of being alone every day”.
During the winter's snowy weather she’d remembered just how much the four walls can close in and she’s very glad to be getting out regularly now and meeting new people.
