Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
Sage schools have been working with leading teacher, Rosemary Hunt, to create lesson plans and resources to support some of the ICT QCA units of work.
This work builds on previous projects, where leading teachers from five schools played a key role in the ICT - Good Practice programme. They worked with staff in schools to use ICT to improve teaching strategies, create learning materials and improve pupils attainment across their schools and other zone schools.
The results of this work have been published as part of the Lewisham publication "Ideas for integrating ICT into the primary & secondary classroom, vol 3". Volume 3 has been further extended by the publication of a web site containing details of activities, downloadable lesson plans for each activity and a range of resources.
This series of publications began in 1999 as a collection of good ideas that teachers could implement in their own classrooms. The materials were developed by teachers for teachers and were intended to complement the DfES/QCA Schemes of Work. Each book contains a series of activity planners, examples of pupils' work, pupil evaluations, teacher evaluations and teacher assessments.
