WINNERS AT MARVELS LANE
The Marvels Lane School football team won the World
Cup in 2003!
Millwall Football Club ran a 5-a-side competition
for local schools, where each school represented a particular country
and Marvels Lane, aka the Republic of Ireland, were worthy winners
of the tournament.
The team attended Millwall'’s first match
of the 2003 season to receive their replica World Cup and enjoyed
a thoroughly well deserved standing ovation and lap of honour around
the pitch.
