In my Quiet Place by Ellis Connor, Athelney School
There's something about my quiet place
That hugs me like a bear

When I'm in my quiet place
I'm free like an un-caged animal.

I can do whatever I feel and not be tormented by bad feelings,
It feels like a part of me I'd lost but found.

When I'm in my quiet place I get shut out from the world,
All bad emotions are lost in a whirlpool of feelings.

Nature touches me with the tips of its fingers,
I long never to be away from my quiet place.

I feel the hand of freedom,
I welcome memories with open arms.

In my quiet place I don't feel small,
I feel as tall as a mountain,
As important as the sun.

I can be free,
I can be happy,
I can feel as extraordinary as the miracle of birth!
