Transition

A lot of work has been done around the period of Transition from primary to secondary school. This is a time of significant change, bringing both expectations and anxieties, for parents as well as children.

Many parents see their child becoming more independent, and some find this change quite difficult because they understandably want to protect their children from any dangers or threats.

Using the experience she has gained over several years' work around Transition, listening to the views of parents and children, Liz Driver has put together a booklet for Sage.

Liz has worked closely with Kidscape in the production of this publication and the running of various sessions on transition. Click on the picture to the right or the link below to download a pdf version of this booklet.

Sage also worked closely with a local headteacher, who produced a report summarising her conclusions after spending time researching the issues surrounding children's transition from early years to secondary. This report is available below.

To read these booklets you will need a PDF reader such as the freely downloadable Adobe Acrobat Reader.
