Children's Questionnaires
Sage has been out and about asking over 500 children in the Downham and Grove Park areas what they think and which after-school activities they would like to see provided locally. The children, whose ages ranged from Nursery to Year 6, were asked in a questionnaire to choose their priorities from a list of over 30 activities in the categories of learning, trips, arts and sports.
They were also asked “If you could make a wish to take part in something that you have never done before - what would it be?” and “Are there any other activities you think should be available?”.

1. Swimming
2. Movie making
3. Cookery

After the questionnaires, a Children’s Collaborative meeting was held, which was attended by 35 children. They were asked in more depth about the provision of after-school activities locally.
All of this information has been used to get the ball rolling on after-school clubs in the area. The graph below shows the overall results of all the completed questionnaires and has formed the priorities for clubs that Sage is organising.
