Pupils - Nature

Green Fingers at Forster Park
In summer term 2004 Forster Park School's Gardening Club was relaunched, in association with the Goldsmiths' Centre, which is just across the road from the school. This involved year 2 pupils working every Wednesday with Goldsmiths' answer to Alan Titchmarsh, Ellwood Amey.

This work on the Community Centre's Garden was so popular that the slots had to be rotated, with each group involved for a half-term block, before handing over their trowels to the next group of green-fingers. The green influence also spred into the school, with the Club taking care of the plants and containers in the school grounds.

Catford Girls' have been presented with a silver standard 'Clean and Green', awarded by London Borough of Lewisham.
