MUSICAL YOUTH
The Blackheath Conservatoire
of Music is continuing to work with children in Sage Educational
Trust schools, to provide quality music teaching in support of the
existing musical provision in schools.
A representative from the
Conservatoire visits a different school every half term and works
with pupils once a week on a musical project. They are currently
on a second visit to Torridon Juniors, following a very successful
first project that culminated in an invitation to the pupils involved
to attend a concert at the Conservatoire.
All the schools involved in
this project have already received £1,000 from Sage to buy
musical instruments and these are now being put to very good use
with this additional support from the Conservatoire.
